(BEIJING) -- Spaniard Samuel Sanchez captures gold in the Men's Road Race on the opening day of the Beijing Olympics. The two-time world champion finished first with at time of 6:23.49, just ahead of Italy's Davide Rebellin. Taking the bronze medal is Switzerland's Fabian Cancellara.
